Do you ever hear your alarm in the morning, reach over to grab your glasses, mobile phone, mug, whatever, and knock it all over? Or maybe you have a naughty kitteh who likes to toss all your junk onto the floor while you sleep. Either way, this is pretty much me at night:
In my search for a way to keep all my bedside items safe from the cat and from my own thrashing, I had a total eureka moment: a silverware tray!
I found a set of wooden silverware drawer organizers and gave one to my mom and kept one for my bedside. The one meant for actual silverware would be awesome for glasses and mobile phones, but I liked the square compartments of this one to store my Kindle, candle, and mug.
My next step will be to drill a little hole in the back of one of the compartments through which to run my mobile phone charger.

We totally have the same light. It takes up a lot of table space, which makes me give it the side eye, but I’ve had it for years so I must not be too bothered.
